Ten-Minute Tinfoil Desserts
It’s cozy campfire season and that means it’s time for warm desserts that melt on your plate and in your mouth! We love a sweet treat around the campfire, but don’t love the cleanup. That’s why we created three craveable ten-minute tinfoil desserts.
S’more Monkey Bread
These ooey-gooey s’more morsels are the perfect sharing dessert around the campfire.
Supplies
- Tinfoil
- Measuring spoons
- Spatula or knife
- Tongs
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (regular sugar works too!)
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 can biscuits
- 6 Tbsp cold salted butter
- Mini marshmallows
- Chocolate chips

Assembly
- Tear two large sheets of tinfoil and grease them with butter (or cooking spray).
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut the biscuits into fourths and roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Divide the biscuit pieces between the two foil sheets.
- Cut the butter into cubes and drop those delightful dollops onto the biscuits.
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar on the biscuits and butter.
- Top the biscuits with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and crushed graham crackers.
- Gather the foil on the sides and pinch it closed at the top like a dumpling.
- Cook on a grate over a hot fire for approximately 10 minutes or over a camping stove for 15 minutes rotating the foil once or twice during cooking for an even bake (the biscuits will be golden brown when finished).
- Use the tongs to carefully grab the monkey bread from the fire. Open up that ooey-gooey packet of goodness and enjoy!
Campfire Apple Crisp
These apple crisps are so easy to make and taste like holiday pie!
Supplies
- Tinfoil
- Measuring spoons
- Cooking knife or metal spoon
- Tongs
Ingredients
- Three apples (tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp taste best)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (regular sugar works too)
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 Tbsp cold salted butter
- Chopped walnuts (optional)
- Quick oats or crushed graham crackers
- Canned whip cream
Assembly
- Tear three large sheets of tinfoil.
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut the butter into small cubes.
- Core the apples from the top with a knife or spoon keeping the apple whole and only removing the stem and core. You can also slice the apples and divide them between the foil sheets if you prefer.
- Fill the cored apples with the cinnamon sugar and butter cubes (evenly divided between the three apples).
- Top the apples with nuts and oats or graham cracker crumbles.
- Wrap the apples in foil and cook them over a campfire or stove for 10-20 minutes (depending on your preference). You can also place the foil directly in warm coals.
- Use the tongs to carefully remove the apples from the fire. Top your apple crisps with a generous dollop of whip cream and enjoy!
Toasted Banana Split

Supplies
- Tinfoil
- Knife
- Tongs
Ingredients
- Ripe bananas
- Milk chocolate bar broken into pieces
- Mini marshmallows (or regular mallows cut into pieces)
- Peanut butter (optional)
- Caramel sundae syrup (optional)
- Canned whip cream
Assembly
- With the banana still in its peel, slice the banana lengthwise without cutting it entirely in two.
- Squish both ends of the banana in the peel to open the center.
- Fill the center with marshmallows, chocolate, and peanut butter.
- Wrap the bananas in foil and place them on hot coals or over a fire or camping stove for about five minutes.
- Remove your gooey banana boat from the fire with tongs and top it with caramel sundae syrup and whipped cream!
